Avec ses presque deux millions d'habitants au sein d'une agglomération qui en fait presque le double, deuxième ville d'Allemagne, neuvième port du monde, il n'est pas facile de rendre compte de la ville-Etat de Hambourg et en deux jours, on reste forcément à la surface des choses, d'autant que le choix avait été fait d'un aperçu touristique, à défaut de pouvoir y passer plus de temps. Il y a plus de vingt ans, une semaine passée là avec des collègues allemands avait montré une toute autre ville, riche d'influences étrangères, d'histoire, de lieux conviviaux... Bref, deux visites très complémentaires à tant d'années d'intervalle. L'envie est maintenant d'y habiter vraiment une semaine ou deux au moins pour découvrir des richesses moins ostentatoires que le centre-ville et le port réaménagé en promenade, vitrines d'une ville en pleine expansion, restructuration, mutation...
